Information we collect

Personal information we collect from you includes information that can identify you, such as your name and email address, and other information that does not identify you.

Approvals collects Slack account information from users for the purposes of connecting to the Slack API. We only collect information that is sent to us directly when the bot is used, messaged or mentioned. We do not store or log other messages or information about your Slack activity.

How we use your Personal Data

We may use information that we collect about you to:

  • Deliver the product and services that you have requested

  • Manage your account and provide you support

  • Perform analysis about your usage of our products and services

  • Communicate with you by email

Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred or given to any other company without your consent, other than for the purpose of delivering the service requested.

How long do we keep your Personal Data

We keep your data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services or until your account is deleted. How long we keep information depends on what it is and whether we have a business need to retain it.

We share data both internally within Approvals, and externally with our partners and with those you direct us to as described in this Notice. When we do this your Personal Data may be transferred, stored or processed in the United States where our data hosting provider's servers are located, or other countries outside of the European Economic Area or the country where you live. These transfers are necessary to provide our services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, this means that your Personal Data is transferred outside of the EEA. These transfers are necessary to provide our services, and we utilise standard contract clauses or rely on the European Commission's adequacy decisions about certain countries (like New Zealand).
